Nestled within the opulence of the pastel-pink hotel, Sola Jazz Lounge is cosy, dark and intimate, the spot where Dubains and tourists alike can grab a great cocktail, enjoy a roster of live music, cigars from the extensive humidor collection, and now, enjoy a fabulous new menu crafted by two newly appointed chefs.
Sola Jazz Lounge cocktails and cuisine
Cementing itself as one of Dubai’s most coveted hangouts, Sola Jazz Lounge’s enticing new menu spans Mediter-Asian cuisine, encompassing a tantalising selection of snacks, cold, hot and sweet bites and treats. Perfect for enjoying over a cocktail and with a date, group of friends – or even a solo drink at the friendly bar -the new menu rethinks traditional bar snacks, taking them to new culinary levels. Guests can enjoy delights like woodfire bread, paired in stracciatella cheese and balsamic; whipped feta and confit garlic; burnt aubergine and miso dip or roasted pepper and tomato; and moreish salt and vinegar potatoes and crispy zucchini.
Dubai favourites like prawn cocktail, beef tartare, spicy tuna, and lobster rolls all feature, which is the perfect introduction to sharing hot plates like the juicy wagyu katsu sando, chicken sando and sesame prawn toast. The pièce de résistance is the sharable sliced wagyu steak with salsa verde. For dessert, guests can enjoy the likes of fried apple pie and Bananas Foster – an ode to the world’s cocktail capital of New Orleans.
A bevy of delicious new cocktails have also been created, embodying the Sola Jazz Lounge spirit. Favourites include the Moody’s Mood (Absolute Vodka, House-Crafted Passion Fruit Liqueur, Strawberry & Raspberry Vermouth, Prosecco, Citrus Cordial) and One O’clock Jump (Captain Morgan Dark, Bulleit Bourbon, Martini Rosso, Campari, Dark Chocolate, Cinnamon) along with other creative creations and all the classics.
Sola Jazz Lounge live music and entertainment
The new menu makes Sola Jazz Lounge’s offer of live entertainment – available five nights a week – even more enticing in a city burgeoning with bars and night-time offerings. On Tuesdays from 8:30pm to 12am, guests can listen to the smooth renditions of Ciaran Fox at Gents Sinatra Night or visit on a Thursday for captivating Motown Night with the duo, Mr and Mrs. Fridays are for the dulcet tones of Soul with the Katty Gold and her trio, while Saturdays see Lisa Goldin and her trip offer up Post Modern Jukebox. Performances from Thursday to Saturday are from 9:30pm to 1:30am, keeping the energy going into the small hours.
On Sundays, the new lineup includes Gastro Cinema Soiree, an enrapturing evening of entertainment and nostalgia paired with culinary delights from 8pm to 12am.
