Emirates Skywards Platinum members can even enjoy an under-the-radar perk at Dubai Mall.
Making shopping and spending the day at the huge mall that much more relaxing and enjoyable, Emirates Platinum members can make use of a special secret Skywards lounge located at the Mall’s prestigious Fashion Avenue. The lounge, reminiscent of the airlines’ renowned airport lounges, features floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful views over Downtown Dubai and has lots of comfy seating to relax or take a break from shopping, along with a selection of beverages, food, and of course, great wi-fi.
Only Emirates Platinum members are able to access the lounge, which has to be pre-booked in advance by calling 04 367 5555 or emailing thelounge@emaar.ae. The lounge is located on the R-Level of Fashion Avenue, and members can access the lounge once a day with a guest but not with children under the age of 18.
However, the greatest secret perk is the dedicated Emirates Skywards Platinum members’ car park, which allows members to enjoy VVIP courtesy valet parking in the Fashion Avenue parking area. Members must register their vehicle number plate through the Dubai Mall app, and access is subject to availability. Dedicated parking means less time wasted and stress when searching for a space at the busy shopping destination – and is another of Emirates Skyward’s incredible perks across the city. Platinum movers also get to use the in-mall chauffeur for free, shuttling them seamlessly between the lounge and retail outlets and can avail of complimentary delivery service to locations across the city (along with Gold members).
Emirates Skywards is broken down into four tiers: Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum, with each tier coming with its own perks and privileges, from free onboard wi-fi to extra luggage, special check-in, lounge access and a better chance of upgrades. Emirates Skywards miles can be accumulated through flying or through special Emirates Skywards Credit Cards – which often offer tens of thousands of points in welcome bonuses, and many come with instant Silver or Gold status, making Platinum that much more achievable.
