The legendary South Beach haunt is landing in Dubai, bringing a big dose of rose-tinted hedonism and nostalgia
In 1995, Studio 54-founder-turned hotelier Ian Schrager opened the Delano – breathing new life into Miami’s ailing South Beach neighbourhood, and, with it, the Miami Beach we know today. While other more flamboyant and glossy hotels have made their mark, few are as iconic as the Delano, and with it, its unassuming yet completely famous and fabulous Rose Bar. Its rose-tinted interiors – all rose-tinted walls, pink furnishings and a rose quartz bar – were an ode to Schrager’s love for maximalism, and now, this same ultra chic vibe is coming to the UAE – with Rose Bar opening at the Delano Dubai.
Set to become a mainstay of Dubai’s rising nightlife scene, the legendary bar will open its doors this October at the brand new hotel – transporting guests to the heyday of Miami glamour, but with a decidedly sleek and luxurious Dubai feel. Offering the same rose-tinted glow, the Rose Bar Dubai picks up where the original left off (Miami’s is temporarily closed), set to offer a sultry atmosphere, great cocktail menu and glamour – yet not pretentious – scene.
Cocktails at the new Rose Bar, Delano Dubai
Cocktails are playful and fun, again, a nod to its Miami hometown and representative of Dubai’s new dining era – with names like the Hanky Panky, a mix of gin, Fernet Branca and Rose Bar’s signature vermouth, and the classic Miami Vice(s), a homage to the bar’s origins. Of course, being a shiny new hotel bar, there’s a great wine list and spirit selection, but the alcohol-free category is also well taken care of – in true 2024 style. Under The Innocents, guests can enjoy zero-proof drinks with just as much thought and attention as their counterparts. Food is also set to be a treat, blending a nostalgic dose of 90s America and Miami with the elegance of the luxury hotel. Highlights include the lobster & crab brioche with celery, coriander and tobiko, and the Rose Bar Club Sandwich, served with turkey, duck ham, gruyère, avocado and Dijon mayonnaise.

Delano Dubai
Opening in October, the Delano Dubai is a milestone for the city’s hospitality scene and the latest in a wave of world-famous luxury brands and properties making their mark on the thriving UAE city. Bringing the feel of Miami Beach to Dubai, the property occupies a private corner of Bluewaters Island, with a mission to emulate the innovative and carefree spirit that first defined Delano in the mid-90s. The hotel is designed by leading studios, including Elastic Architects and LaBottega; the hotel combines sophisticated aesthetics with a unique Dubai twist, immersing guests in a captivating fusion of energy, refinement, and discretion for which Delano is celebrated.
Guests will stay in 251 rooms and suites, including the showstopping five-bedroom penthouse with beautiful ocean views. Other new dining experiences include Tutto Passa, which offers a menu inspired by the Amalfi Coast, and Blue Door, the beachfront restaurant that pays homage to its iconic Miami namesake.
