The luxury beachfront trilogy will soon be completed – with the addition of a sleek superyacht-inspired resort this March
After a year of stellar hotel openings that included Dorchester Collection’s Middle East debut, The Lana, Mama Shelter and Miami’s Delano, this month will see the opening of (perhaps) the most exciting of all openings – Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. If the Burj Al Arab was a sail and Jumeirah Beach Hotel the wave – then the new Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is the super yacht. Smooth, sleek, and sitting right on the water. Inspired by said super yacht design, this highly anticipated resort will catapult Jumeirah back to the forefront of hotel design and innovation, with 386 rooms and suites, a three-storey spa, 11 restaurants, and an 82-berth marina. With the hotel officially open for bookings from 14 March, here are 13 things we know – and are looking forward to – about Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab.
Not content with just being a luxury hotel and residences, Jumeriah Marsa Al Arab will also create its own elevated community with the opening of a new dining waterfront destination. Set alongside the Arabian Gulf, the Marsa Al Arab Marina will offer a mix of high-low, offering something from morning coffees and breakfasts to dinner and nightcaps. Six dining destinations will include laid-back Feels Cafe (of Kite Beach fame), Beirut-born Meat the Fish, Public, CutFish, Salt, and Heaf.
On top of the new waterfront destination, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab itself has 11 restaurants and four bars – giving guests the chance to eat, and drink out, somewhere different every day of their trip. Among them is an exciting new-to-Dubai concept, evolving throughout the day with four destination restaurants and a central bar. The resort also welcomes a Viennoiserie by internationally renowned pastry chef Pierre Hermé in the Lobby Lounge. Highlights include Umi Kei: A Japanese restaurant inspired by the art of kintsugi, Mediterranean brasserie Mirabelle, the sophisticated homage to India that is The Bombay Club and Iliana – a Greek Mediterranean retreat with a pool club, private beach, and rooftop bar.
Designed by acclaimed architect Shaun Killa, the resort features an avant-garde, superyacht-inspired aesthetic. Other interior design features inspired by the hue of golden hour include marble clad surfaces, organic wood, soft-edged seating, handcrafted silk carpets, hand-blown crystal lights, and textured fabrics.
The suites draw inspiration from the sleek elegance of a superyacht, featuring bold, sporty lines and vibrant interiors that create an invigorating retreat. Guests enjoy exclusive access to Iliana Pool Club, a private oasis with cabanas and a secluded beach, offering the ultimate in relaxation. Complementing this experience is a dedicated modern butler service, seamlessly blending personalization, precision and intuitive hospitality. Every detail is thoughtfully curated to enhance the guest journey, delivering warm, tailored touches that redefine luxury and comfort.
For an elevated experience, the Presidential Suite mirrors the nautical design, complete with a private plunge pool. The Royal Suite, seemingly floating above the water, boasts a 310 sqm terrace with a plunge pool, seamless indoor-outdoor living and the option to expand into a multi-bedroom retreat of up to five connecting rooms.
The Pearl Suite, an embodiment of refined glamour, features an expansive wrapped-around terrace with panoramic views, a private kitchen and the flexibility to host exclusive events for up to 80 guests.
Jumeirah Residences Marsa Al Arab also offers an exclusive collection of 82 one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes. Each residence features expansive terraces, exquisitely crafted interiors, and seamless access to all hotel amenities. Ranging from 79 sqm to 229 sqm, these thoughtfully designed spaces provide breathtaking views of the marina, ocean, or the iconic Burj Al Arab.
Residents enjoy privileged access to a private pool, gym, and spa facilities, ensuring a refined and tranquil lifestyle. The lobby is a masterpiece, adorned with a chandelier of over 1,500 hand-blown seashell-shaped crystals from the Czech Republic’s renowned crystal valley. Complemented by over 300 curated artworks and 29 bespoke sculptures throughout the resort, The Residences at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab redefine waterfront living with artistry and unparalleled sophistication.
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will see Jumeirah’s signature Talise Spa enter a new era – spanning three floors with a 20-metre indoor pool, a fully equipped fitness studio, gym, and female-only spaces, as well as 13 treatment suites, each boasting a private terrace with stunning views over the Gulf.
In the three-floor wellness space, guests will be able to enjoy advanced treatments, alongside the traditional massages and facials. A Remedy Suite features four technology-driven therapies such as cryotherapy, ChromoSpace light treatments, the iDome Infra-Red Triple Detox Treatment, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber.
Exclusive partnerships with EviDenS de Beauté, Swissline and Ground Wellbeing will ensure all spa treatments are as effective and premium as possible – giving the spa and wellness complex another competitive edge in the city.
The dedicated Family Club at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will be available for young guests aged three to 10, built around connection and discovery. Conveniently located near the Resort Pool, this thoughtfully designed haven fosters creativity, learning, and meaningful connections through engaging activities and interactive experiences involving all family members applying the new techniques of ‘Jumeirah Circle’ a fun educational concept for a meaningful family experience. Open daily from 10am to 7pm, and it provides a welcoming environment where children can explore, play and grow, making every moment at the resort unforgettable.
The hotel itself sits on the new Marsa Al Arab Marina, which will offer 82 berths accommodating yachts up to 61 meters. Guests can sail in, and enjoy the marina’s world-class facilities, including full maintenance and fuelling services, ensuring seamless experience for boat owners. What’s more, it’s also a vibrant social hub, with homegrown dining concepts and exclusive retail stores.
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will launch a curated program of exclusive, culturally connected activities fosters deep bonds among guests who share a passion for art and culture. Partnerships with local and international artists, galleries, and museums celebrate Dubai’s rich cultural narrative, making Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab a creative haven. Initiatives like the “artist in residence” program provide platforms for chefs and creatives to inspire guests.
As should be with new build hotels, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is putting more focus into sustainability and its impact on the planet. The resort incorporates dual water systems (TSE) for irrigation, connected to advanced weather station-controlled irrigation systems to optimise water usage. The strategic terrace design reduces solar gain, cutting energy consumption for cooling by up to 40% and there’s hydro perlite for irrigation efficiency. The resort has implemented NORDAQ water bottling systems, eliminating single-use plastics.
