It’s been two years since the launch of the Dubai Michelin Guide, recognising the unrelenting hard work, creativity, ingenuity and progression of the city’s culinary and restaurant scene. From honouring and modernising Emirati cuisine to a pool of offerings reflecting Dubai’s diverse ex-pat community, Dubai residents and tourists are delighting in more cuisines than ever before – be it in elegant fine dining restaurants, hotels, or unassuming, un-licensed eateries in the city’s less polished neighbourhoods. Building on the city’s achievements, the Dubai Michelin Guide 2024 has now been announced, including four special awards. Special awards included the second-ever Dubai Michelin ‘Opening of the Year’ – which went to homegrown success story, and the most beautiful restaurant in Dubai, The Guild.
Alongside the world-renowned stars, the newer Michelin Green Star was announced, alongside four new One Michelin Star restaurants, bringing the total number of One Michelin Star restaurants to 15. A new Two Michelin Stars restaurant was also announced, Row on 45, along with the award of One MICHELIN Star to four other restaurants, as well as six new Bib Gourmands.
