From bloat-busting fiber and nutrient-packed greens powders to pills and potions that relieve stress, anxiety, jet lag and more
While unrivalled for the mind, travel can often be tough on the body, from jet lag and disordered sleep to overeating, bloating, foggy brain and more. Here are the travel supplements and wellness essentials that keep us feeling great while on the road.
Getting your greens is hard enough at home, but sometimes feels impossible when you’re travelling. Dining in restaurants, relying on takeaways or food to go, it’s easy to go days without some serious nutritional veggies, and this brand new powder makes things a little easier. From Dubai-born, French brand, rite, the new powders have 26 vitamins and minerals, 12 superfoods, 6 essential electrolytes and 5g of pea protein. They’re super travel friendly and simply dissolve in water – with a refreshing lemony taste.

It’s no secret Aman is one of my favourite hotel brands, and customers can get a dose of its wonderful, fragrant, wellness-oriented world with its Aman Essentials range. The range is divine, with skincare, home fragrance, candles, activewear you name it, but what I really can’t get enough of it its Purifying Pulse Point Remedy. This really helps me unwind when adrenaline has kicked in – and makes me feel like my bed is in the Aman Spa. The main ingredient is Palo santo, a spiritual cleanser used for centuries in rituals, but there’s also delightful sandalwood. Simply rub on your pulse and pressure points to feel soothed and relaxed.
After being sucked in by relentless Instagram ads, I’ve become a die-hard fan of British wellness brand Dirtea – which harnesses the natural superfood powers of potent mushrooms to deliver a host of powders, gummies and formulas to help everything from hair and skin to energy, immunity and focus. At home, I live by the powders (stirred into coffee or smoothies) like Lion’s Mane and Chaga, but they’re risky to travel with, thanks to the nature of the tin. Enter their new gummies, which offer the same level of support. These Chaga gummies help boost immunity while you’re travelling and are more susceptible to illness, but they are also a great energy booster (while being caffeine-free). They also offer quick and easy deliver to the UAE though their dedicated .ae site.

This bundle pack is a great way to save on two of my lifesaving travel essentials – Moon Juice’s Ting and Magnesi-Om travel supplements and powders. The brand itself is a holistic wellness ledenfy, born in California and known for its plant-sourced solutions using plant proteins, adaptogenic super herbs and mushrooms to elevate the mind and body. Ting really helps with my energy and mood, while Magnesi-Om can be a lifesaver to get a solid, uninterrupted night’s sleep and help relax. They’re packed with vitamins, like Organic B-Complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9), adaptogenic ginseng and L-theanine – you really can’t go wring. Simply add to water and drink.

No matter what trip I go on, a weekend staycation, road trip, summer break or ski holiday, something always in my back is Humantra. The homegrown UAE brand has become a household name thanks to its ability to deliver 4x more hydration than regular water – a lifesaver for those on the go. It comes in a range of delicoius flavours, lile lime, pomengranate and lychee, and in nady little tubes which fit perfetly into your handbag, carry on and suitcase. They’re full of vitamins and naturally sweetened with zero-calorie monk fruit extract and Stevia leaf extract. We take one more mornings when we feel dried out, and it sorts us out perfectly.

One huge downside of travel can be bloating – with irregular eating habits, unusual food, flavours and ingredients and other factors playing havoc with your digestive system. Another new innovation from homegrown brand rite, these incredible sachets deliver a big dose of clinically-proven soluble fiber Nutriose® to support digestion, and increase fiber intake, and (keep things moving), while supporting the body’s microbiome. It has a pleasant guava taste and all you need to do is shake up with water and drink.

Another fantastic product from Moon Juice, SuperYou travel supplements is a real help for those who suffer from stress, anxiety, low mood and focus (making it a real necessity for work trip). The clinical formula claims to ‘reduce cortisol by 24% for proactive and reactive stress support,’ with its potent adaptogens traditionally used in Ayurveda and TCM. I feel a lot more calm and at ease while taking these: less irritable and stressed, more alert, less tired, and a better person to travel with. Great for those with travel anxiety. The glass bottle is reusable and you can buy refill packages and bags – which you can even fit into your bag or case alone, without the glass, to save on weight and space.

Not technically classed as a wellness item or travel supplement, but this is something I’ve travelled with a few times, and ideally would take everywhere I go. Dr Barbara Sturm‘s is the only face mist that has ever made my skin feel truly hydrated and dewy long after the spray dries, and has been a gamechanger when dealing with hot sun, humidity and also cold (and then hot) conditions on a recent ski trip. It’s so small and lightweight and lasts for weeks and weeks, and makes me feel better about myself – without dull and dry skin. It contains hyaluronic acid, anti-ageing powerhouse purslane and natural ingredients like lemon, aloe vera, broccoli and pricky pear – it’s also the perfect size for your carry on – spritz at regular intervals throughout the flight. It’s really worth the money.
