Known for their distinctive sound that blends jazz soul with pop flair, VNTG is led by three-time SAMA Award-nominated arranger and composer Rudo Pieterse on upright bass and vocals, joined by world-class collaborators Joel Ison and Janelle Bernado. Having shared stages with icons including Alicia Keys and Gregory Porter and most recently performing as the opening act for Beyoncé, the ensemble brings a sophisticated energy to every performance. Their reinvented interpretations of well-loved classics and modern favourites span five decades, offering a fresh take on well-loved hits that feel both familiar and new. The band can perform as a trio, quartet, or quintet, with flexible instrumentation tailored to the occasion, a true testament to their versatility and creative range.
