The new pass is available only until Friday 16th August and valid for 12 months, allowing unlimited Wizz Air
For the spontaneous travel lover, the idea of having an annual pass, a subscription, to fly as much as you like sounds like a dream. And now, Wizz Air has made that dream a reality, launching a new ‘All You Can Fly Membership’. The first-of-its-kind scheme is available to join now for just $549 per person and is valid for 12 months. The catch? It’s only available at this price until Friday, August 16th, and there are a few booking rules…
Allowing the holder to fly as much as they like across Wizz Air’s global network, crossing continents and checking off some of the world’s most popular – and hidden gem – cities and destinations, the ‘All You Can Fly Membership’ allows travellers to book onto any flight in the Wizz Air network. However, small costs occur, with around an $11 booking fee for each subsequent booking (the first flight is free) and baggage and seat selection available for an extra charge.
That said, the membership is the perfect way to explore Europe for a late summer escape, enjoy an autumn break or explore the festive markets of Europe. Flights are possible to book from September, including Wizz Air’s network across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Just 10,000 subscriptions are available, with the airline distributing them to applicants across its airport network, asking applicants to choose a ‘network of preference’ – many of these in the UK are already sold out.
Enjoy a last-minute escape to Greece’s sunny capital of Athens
For those lucky to get a subscription, a world of travel awaits, including the Christmas markets of Krakow, the ancient wonders of Rome, the beaches of Spain’s Mallorca and Dalaman in Turkey, Venice’s canals, Abu Dhabi,Athens, Dubrovnik, Greek islands and more – with almost 200 cities across 50 countries possible to explore.
While seemingly too good to be true, there are a few rules for holders booking travel. Firstly, travellers need to be spontaneous – as this is not the membership for those who love to plan. Flights are only available from 72 hours before the department – making them essentially underbooked standby flights – and hold baggage and seat selection are additional costs and must be booked separately.
‘We are thrilled to be the first to introduce this one-of-a-kind membership for travellers in Europe. The Wizz All You Can Fly membership will give customers hundreds of spontaneous travel options for a fixed price, giving them the freedom to fly whenever is convenient without paying extra,’ said Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air’s commercial officer. ‘From the adventurous travellers to the digital nomads, this membership will make travel easier for frequent flyers and connect people with new people and places.”
Wizz Air operates a wide range of daily flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Europe, North Africa and Asia. The airline was recently named Most Sustainable Low-Cost Airline” for the fourth consecutive year at the World Finance Sustainability Awards 2024.
