The airline is launching a host of new exciting European routes, one in time for summer and one in time for festive escapes
It’s said that a third of the world is just a four-hour flight from Dubai. Thanks to a travel-hungry local and expat population, along with being one of the world’s busiest transit hubs, Dubai’s flight path list encompasses a huge chunk of the world, with direct flights to six regions across the world. Dubai International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Dubai, primarily served by Emirates, but is also the hub for Emirates’ lower-cost carrier Flydubai. In modern comfort with TV screens and lie-flat beds on many business class cabins, travellers can find cheap flights from Dubai when booking with flydubai to 125 destinations in 58 countries. From August, travellers will be able to fly to the Swiss city of Basel, and from October, into a host of Baltic cities like Latvia’s fairytale-esque capital of Riga, Lithuania’s Vilnius and Estonia’s Tallinn.
A season doesn’t go by without flydubai adding a host of new flight routes from its Dubai hub. The airline currently flies to 125 destinations in 58 countries, spanning Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, Central Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. The carrier has now announced it will launch two new flight paths to Basel, Switzerland, from 2 August and Baltic cities from October – including Riga, Latvia on 11 October, Tallinn, Estonia and Lithuania’s Vilnius from 12 October.
