Helping to evolve its wellness offering, which spans the likes of ancient healing arts in Thailand’s Amanpuri and traditional Ayurveda of India at Amanbagh, Maria Sharapova has co-created a series of wellness retreats across a number of Aman’s 34 global properties, each tailored to complement the Aman destination. Retreats will focus on preparation, performance and recovery across mind and body, something the former tennis professional is well adept at.

The partnership is a natural extension of Maria’s relationship with Aman. Maria has been a long-standing supporter and admirer of the Aman brand, including its lifestyle collection, Aman Essentials, as well as its renowned destinations across the globe. The partnership perfectly encapsulates the brand’s drive to provide the most elite, sought-after experience for its clients and enhance the guest experience with the priceless knowledge of world-leading experts.

The first of the unique retreats will be held at Aman’s flagship, Amapuri, located on a private peninsula in Phuket’s west coast and home to Aman’s Holistic Wellness Centre. Taking place in February 2024, guests will be able to enjoy a three-night Performance and Recovery retreat curated and mentored by Maria, with a series of interactive experiences and activities she has worked with during her 20-year career as an elite athlete. Maria will also incorporate pioneering technologies she herself uses in her daily wellness routine.

The retreat will also bring guests together with group activities, dining experiences and Q&A sessions with Maria and visiting expert practitioners – set to bring like-minded guests together and create a positive community. It includes accommodation, a full board (excluding alcoholic beverages) and a detailed wellness itinerary.

But before the dedicated retreat, guests at Aman New York are already able to experience Maria’s personal touch, with a half-day Strength and Recovery retreat. Available at the hotel’s coveted Aman Spa New York, the experience is available as an add-on for existing bookings and includes an optimised breakfast menu, developed by Maria and executive chef Jeremy Price, an hour strength and conditioning session created by Maria and a Banya treatment, reflexology and Aman x 111SKIN Mask, held in one of the private Aman Spa Houses.
